Art As Catharsis are proud to be inducted into the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia.
The invitation comes as part of an effort from the Archive to acquire, document and preserve the work of significant Australian bands, and includes all past and future releases from the label.

The Sound curatorial area of the National Film and Sound Archive specialises in documenting Australia’s rich audio history. Their collection spans almost 120 years of Australian audio covering a wide range of recording subjects and formats.
Art As Catharsis is a Sydney-based record label that promotes forward-thinking music from across a wide range of genres – including progressive rock, jazz, neo-classical, acoustic, ambient, metal and hardcore punk.
To date the label has put-out 75 releases from artists like We Lost The Sea, Hashshashin, Jess Locke, Mister Ott, Brian Campeau, Peter Hollo’s Raven, Serious Beak, Drowning Horse and many more.
