We are immensely pleased to welcome Benjamin Shannon and Joseph Rabjohns to the Art As Catharsis family.
Between them, they will handle bookings, event management and promotion for AAC in Brisbane.
Both are incredible musicians in their own right.
Since moving to the Brown Snake in 2012 to study Jazz drums, Benjamin Shannon has performed over 400 gigs with 15+ differing projects, including kodiak empire, Milton Man Gogh, and Valtozash Bigband.
Ben’s focus is original music across all styles and genres but specifically, jazz, prog, experimental, world, heavy and everything in between. He also has experience organising various gigs, fundraisers and ensembles, most notably the Brisbane Conduction Ensemble.

Joseph Rabjohns has been a dedicated member of the Brisbane music scene since forming Brisbane alt-rock/prog outfit Kodiak Empire in 2012. In the same year Joe began his studies at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, where he studied Jazz guitar under Brisbane Jazz virtuosos Jamie Clark and Toby Wren. Since then Joe has been playing in various bands most notably in Kodiak Empire and Kieran T. Stevenson and had teaching music to people of all ages.
Joe has a passion for alternative music, especially post rock, post metal, prog and modern Jazz and is absolutely thrilled at the thought of helping out with the label.
